Delete your account

Two ways to do it, and exactly what gets removed.

Applies to Event Marshal on iPhone and Android

In the app — immediate

Profile → Delete account

Open Event Marshal and go to Profile
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
Confirm

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period and it cannot be undone.

By email — if you no longer have the app

Write from the email address associated with your MotorsportReg account, with "Delete my Event Marshal account" as the subject.

We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, and reply to tell you it is done. No account or app is needed to make the request.

What is deleted

Everything Event Marshal holds that identifies you:

Deleting in the app clears the phone-held items at the same time. If you delete by email, remove the app from your phone to clear those — they never leave the device and we cannot reach them.

What is kept, and why

Two things survive deletion, neither of which identifies an ordinary member:

Run group sheets for events you attended. These belong to the chapter that ran the event, not to this app, and they show the same name, car and run group posted at the track. If you want your row removed from a published sheet, ask and we will remove it.
Operational records of administrator actions — that a notification was sent, or that an assignment sheet was imported, and by whom. These identify the chapter administrator who performed the action, not the members it concerned. They are kept because a notification cannot be recalled and there should always be a record of who sent what.

What is not affected

Your MotorsportReg account. It belongs to MotorsportReg, not to this app. Your club membership, your event registrations, your payment history and everything else there stay exactly as they are. Deleting here only ends this app's access to them.

Your BMW CCA membership. Event Marshal is an independent app and has no bearing on club membership. To change that, contact your chapter.

If you are a chapter coordinator who connected a Driving Evals account, that account is likewise unaffected.

Coming back

You can sign in again at any time with the same MotorsportReg account. The app starts over with nothing saved — a new account, not a restored one.
